All woodland wooden casement windows with upright openers are now fitted with multi-point locking as standard.
Multi point locks afford a high security solution to the traditional timber window. Multi point locks also offer a night vent facility, improved weather sealing and better acoustic performance as standard.
Multi point locks, sometimes referred to as 'espagnolette locks' shoot four steel bolts into the hardwood frame of a timber window. The multi point lock system has the added benefit of allowing the opening casement to be 'locked' open in a night vent position. Whilst we wouldn't recommend leaving a window open in an empty house, this is an ideal solution for bedrooms on a hot night, or to allow safe ventilation in a children's room.
All multi point locks are key lockable to satisfy insurance requirements and a variety of handle designs and finishes are available.
