The Company - Our History

Woodland Products as a company originally evolved from a design practice when John West; the founder of Woodland, saw how the traditional box sash window could be improved by the application of modern production techniques and innovative design.

John's concept was to develop a wooden sash window which would incorporate modernity and yet still maintain the grace and elegance of traditional windows; something which in our opinion, no other company was doing at the time or has managed to achieve since. Today this simple combination of modern design and traditional craftsmanship is still at the core of everything we do, and has enabled us to develop an accompanying range of products which compliment the traditional sash window perfectly.

Our Future

Woodland Products has always been a family-run business and John's Son, Chris, is determined to continue what John started, building on a foundation of quality, innovative design and traditional craftsmanship.

We make the following commitments to all our customers:

  • We will always give a personal and friendly service, and strive to exceed your expectations at every opportunity.
  • We will never, ever, try and sell a customer a product which we believe is not the best, and we will always strive to ensure our window designs incorporate the latest innovations to ensure our customers are receiving only the best products. We are committed to manufacturing the highest quality product and using the highest quality components in all our windows and doors.
  • We will never 'hard-sell' any products. We firmly believe everything we make is good enough to sell itself, and if we do go on about how great we think any of our products are, it's simply because we are passionate about windows, have a love for timber, and genuinely care about what we do
  • We will source environmentally sustainable materials where possible, and will constantly monitor all our activities to ensure we continue to progress with due consideration to the environmental impact of everything we do
  • We will always listen and be pro-active to any issues our customers raise. We believe we are only as good as our last happy customer, and if you aren't happy with any aspect of our work we want to know
